Welcome to our Multimodal Project.
What do we want to achieve via this project?
The primary goal of this project is to facilitate the language learning development among first-year students
enrolled in an English for Academic Purposes writing course.
Why did we want to employ this approach?
The rationale behind creating these Multimodal Modules is twofold.
Firstly, the students in this EAP course generally have weak language proficiency,
and they also tend to lack motivation for learning English.
To help improve students' learning experience and create an authentic student-led classroom environment,
we have designed a series of interactive Multimodal Modules,
which can be used as in-class activities or for independent study outside of the classroom.
Each of the Multimodal Modules we created includes an animated video,
followed by kazoobs slides for further explanation as well as quizzes and games for consolidation practice.
By incorporating this innovative approach, we hope to stimulate the students' interest in engagement in language learning.
